Catholics at the Capitol
March 21, 2017
The Nebraska Catholic Conference—the public policy voice of the three Nebraska Bishops—invites you to attend Catholics at the Capitol on March 21st. The event takes place in the basement of St. Mary’s Church in Lincoln (14th and K St.—just north of the Capitol). Registration begins at 8:30 am, with the program beginning at 9 am. Coffee, juice and rolls will be provided.
Catholics at the Capitol is a legislative day for Catholics to learn more about key legislative priorities of interest to the Bishops and the Nebraska Catholic Conference. Bishop Hanefeldt of Grand Island will provide a welcoming and opening remarks. NCC Staff will provide legislative overviews and updates. Lt. Gov. Mike Foley and former State Senator Tony Fulton will provide the keynote address and discuss how we can become more politically involved and politically influential Catholics. There will also be time to meet with Senators and make your voice heard.
Please consider attending this event and inviting family, friends, Brother Knights, and fellow parishioners to attend with you. Click here to view and download a flyer for distribution.
The NCC request that you RSVP for the event at email@example.com, so that they can get a head count in advance, but you may attend even if you did not RSVP.
Thanks for being a faithful Catholic citizen!
